Description

Legend says that merponies are bringers of death, harpies who lure sailors and travellers to a watery grave. They say their prey sees one last thing before they drown; the watery, soulless eyes of their killer, mouth open in a haunting call.

I saw that, that kiss of death. But why, then, did my end flee? What creature could have scared death itself into letting me be?
