Types: Earth Pony (common), Pegasus (common), Unicorn (uncommon), Alicorn (very rare)
Special Powers: Can change their appearance, use the star networks to teleport at night. Can fly when winged, can use magic when horned.
Species backstory:
The Night Mares are the female equivalent of Princess Luna's forces. With a body shape similar to the Traditional Unicorn, Night Mares were created when Luna stopped Death from taking the lives of ponies who enjoyed her night. In return for her act, the Night Mares swore to use their powers to deliver dreams and nightmares to sleeping ponies. Soon after the Night Mares were created, Luna's madness turned her into Nightmare Moon, and she was banished.
Princess Selena, an Alicorn Night Mare, took over the Night Mares. The tribe has fallen into disrepair, and Luna is unaware they still exist. Princess Selena has also held back from telling the Night Mares their true ruler has returned.
Luna's male forces include the earthwalking Phantoms, the magical Moonicorns and the winged Thestrals.
